Thomas H. Cluderay is the founder of Argus Development Group. Mr. Cluderay has been active in commercial development since 1972 and has been responsible for the development of more than 100 centers, over a 7-state area. Although these projects have been varied in size and locale, a common thread throughout his career has been the ability to establish and maintain close relationships with many national retailers. Virtually all of the shopping centers he has developed have been anchored by grocery store chains operating in the Southeast, including Harris-Teeter, Lowe’s Foods, Publix, Kroger, and Food Lion. In addition, a number of the projects have included national and regional chain retailers such as Target, Belk, Kohl’s, T.J. Maxx, PETsMart, Barnes & Noble, Office Max, Babies “R” Us, Old Navy, Best Buy, Dick’s, Ross, Bed Bath & Beyond, Party City, Pier 1 and others. Mr. Cluderay is a licensed real estate broker in North and South Carolina.

Connie P. Cluderay is the co-founder of Argus Development Group. Ms. Cluderay has been active in commercial real estate and property management since 1986. She has managed and leased a variety of portfolios throughout the Southeast and worked with several leaders in the industry before joining Argus Development Group. She has managed shopping centers ranging from neighborhood grocery store anchored centers to large power centers with a complex mix of big box and shop leases. Ted S. Barnes is a partner with Argus Development Group. Mr. Barnes has been active in commercial real estate since 1984 in both a retail and development capacity throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast. Prior to joining Argus, he served as Vice President of Real Estate for Harris Teeter, Inc., and as President of HT Properties, LLC, the company’s real estate development division. Mr. Barnes also served on the company’s Board of Directors. During his 30-year career, which includes positions at Eckerd, Food Lion and McMahan-Carver Properties, he has been involved in the leasing and development of more than 5,000,000 square feet of space. This combination of strong development and retail background allows him a unique perspective on the needs of both the owners and tenants. Mr. Barnes is a licensed real estate broker in both North and South Carolina.

Celia P. Blackwelder is the Director of Financial Services for Argus Development Group and has worked in both commercial real estate development and property management since 1986. Prior to joining Argus her varied responsibilities have included abstracting and administering over 600 retail and office leases, including monthly rent rolls of over $1,000,000; percentage rent calculations; and annual CAM, tax and insurance reconciliations. Ms. Blackwelder has been with Argus since their inception in 1996 and has been responsible for preparing financial analysis and presentation materials for shopping center development, as well as acquisition debt and equity placements. She handles varied accounting services including maintaining and reporting complete and detailed job cost information for shopping centers while under construction as well as lease administration and accounts receivable for property management operations.
